I think this means that people try to hard to be something their not and end up losing everything they have gained during the journey just to fall back down again to restart and become the person you are.
We all want praise for thing that others do and we attempt if you want to be recognized do a positive action that help others not for the praise but for the warm feeling that helping others gives you.
I don't think you should necessarily stop doing something just because your not good at it. You're not wasting your time, if anything, you're using it well. I don't think that that should be your main priority though. You should work on the things you know your good at so you don't lose them.
To me this means that many people spend there time doing somehting they dont really want to do just to get attention. Or doing something that they wont ever use in life. To me this is like sports, people do sports because they enjoy them and some do them just because, but its not like there going to use dribbling a ball in real life.
Lets look at sports. Most people do not become pro athletes. So the high school parents and student body my thing your the bomb diggity now. But when you are a teacher in the end you aren't using that athletic skill.

ReplyDeleteI think that you need to attempt things because you never know if you are good at them unless you try. Even if you fail at least you tried.
ReplyDeleteYou have to try things even if you cannot do them. If you keep trying eventually you could be good at whatever you are doing.
