Don't make something worse by continuing to do the same thing over and over again. Just because you're in a hole doesn't mean there's no way out. Right your wrong and climb higher.
I think that this is true because if you keep making the same mistake over and over again without making an effort to fix it you will just get in bigger and bigger trouble.
This is true if you are in trouble or went down the wrong path you need to get out of it as soon as possible. If you keep digging it is just going to be harder and harder to get out.
I think this relates when you lie about what you're doing or where you're going. you're only digging a deeper hole for yourself when you lie, so stop lying and tell the truth and that hole with stop growing deeper.
We are always digging for something; the truth, our destiny, but there is a point were you look up and realize that all this digging is making you blind to what it is happening around you because you have dug so deep that you are unaware of what has happened around you during your quest.
