Tuesday 10/28/14 Case Study (Min. 50 Word Response)

The Case of the Illegal Puppy Dog

You're walking through the residence hall when you hear what sounds like a puppy yapping in one of the rooms . After knocking on the door, it turns out your friend Lilliana has an adorable puppy in the room . She informs you that the puppy belongs to her grandfather who is currently in the hospital and because the puppy can't be home alone, Lilliana chose to bring the puppy to the residence hall . She insists that the puppy will be gone tomorrow morning and goes on to explain the amount of stress she's under because of her grandfather's sickness . Lilliana knows you're a student leader and pleads with you not to tell anyone about the puppy . You like Lilliana and miss playing with puppies, so you tell her it's no big deal and play with the puppy for a few minutes .

About a week later, you overhear one of the students on Lilliana's floor complaining about a fine they got for cleaning expenses . Apparently, "Some chick brought a dog into the lobby and it crapped all over the place . Because she didn't have the guts to come forward, everyone has to split the cost of cleaning up the mess . This is so stupid!"

> What would you do?

  1. I would have said that it was her who had the dog that crapped all over the place. She said it would be gone the next morning. You trusted her with that puppy and she let you down. It is not fair that everyone has to pay since she won't admit it was her. That would be the right thing to do.

  2. I would go and talk to Lilliana about the situation and tell her that she needs to find another place for the puppy to stay. If she could not take care of this matter I would have to tell about it because that is not really fair other people are taking the blame. I understand her situation but she could ask for help and hopefully someone could help her out in her difficult situation.

  3. I would go and tell Lilliana that she need to confess. She probably shouldn't have brought the puppy in her dorm in the first place. I know that her grandpa is sick but that doesn't mean that you don't have to follow the rules and get everyone else in trouble. She should have been more responsible and not let it get this out of hand.

  4. If I were Lilliana I would ask her to pay for the carpet cleaning. If she feels that she will be ridiculed and bullied for doing bring the dog in and about certain people getting special treatment she would could do is in secret so that she doesn't have to get bullied for what the dog did. Puppies have to go out often and will make messes if they aren't taken out right when they show signs of needing to do out side.

  5. i would make Lilliana pay for all of the cost that it cost to clean the carpets and everything else that the dog ruined.Obviously it was her because she had the dog and was probably hoping no one would notice since the dog was going to be leaving the next day

  6. I would confront her. She promised the puppy would be gone and taken care of. This doesn't sound like held up to her end of the deal. I would tell her that even though the puppy is cute it needs to go somewhere else. I would though help her find I good temporary home for it though.

  7. I would be mad because she didn't keep her word and I'm very strict when it comes to people coming back and taking their word back. She said that she would have the puppy gone within a week and she didn't keep her word.

  8. I would have made sure that I would tell her that it was her dog and that she should have paid for the bill. I would immediately get the dog out of the dorm and tell her that she needs to find somewhere else. She had already told me what she was going to do.

  9. I would go tell the girl about the situation and how we have to pay to clean it up I would tell her that she has to give me my money for the share or I would tell If you don't it will be embarrassing for her if she is going to take care of it you are going to need to make sure it isn't pooping everywhere.
