    Nebraska State Senators approved and sent to select file the Livestock Siting and Expansion Legislation late last week. Nebraska Farm Bureau Vice President of Government Relations Jay Rempe says the measure was amended to meet local control concerns.

  2. Keeping pathogens out of produce.
    The university of california davis won a grant to help prevent cross contamination in fresh produce. Davis will be the lead institution with Rutgers University and Drexel University for the $4.8 million grant over five years. Problems with foodborne pathogens on spinach and green onions in recent years have claimed the lives of consumers.

  3. Algae: The new antibiotic?
    That is amazing how advance we are getting and now to hear that we have a possible new antibiotic is even more amazing. I was curious before on how we are going to handle super bugs and super weeds. Though I am curious on what the side affects and possible allergies people my have to it.
